A Morning Message Monday, May 1, 2107

Categories: Morning Messages

Good Morning!  What a weekend!  Rain and more rain, flooding, school cancelled, what a mess.  The church took on lots of water.  Not really sure the cause, I think just the volume was too much to handle.  I walked the building this morning, it is better than I had anticipated.  Ceiling tile will have to be replaced, but I think that is the extent of the damage.  It would appear gutters would not handle the volume, combined with wind blowing water up under the shingles.  We should be thankful given what I have seen around.  Please keep your prayers focused on those hard hit with the weather.  Stay tuned for updates.

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.     Hebrews 11:6 NIV

Faith is the key that unlocks the relationship with God.  Faith moves us toward God and allows us to connect with God.  The more we seek, the more we find.  The more we open ourselves to God the more God reveals God’s self to us.  I talked yesterday about John Wesley and his instruction, “Preach it till you believe it.”  There is a lot to be said for that.  We develop faith from our faith, it grows.  May your faith grow exponentially today.    Just my thought for today.
